actually people polar bears can swim so chances r it was resting from hunting seals n will swim bk 2 solid ice wen its done they can swim 4 several miles and r a semi-aquatic animal it wot they do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Polar bears can swim, but not forever! Just like us, we can't swim for 6 or 7 days straight. They need to rest. And with the polar ice caps melting because of global warming, they could become extinct. :'( Global warming is real! And we should all do our part to stop it. 1. Turn off the lights when you leave a room. 2. Don't leave the water on when you brush your teeth 3. MOST IMPORTANT! Carpool, ride your bike, walk! Try to use cars as little as possible.
